Bradley Spoon LCPC

Bradley Spoon LCPC has been practicing psychotherapy for 7 years. He has studied or trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital and University, and Sheppard Pratt Health Systems, and is a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor.

Bradley is the supervisor for Child & Adolescent therapy at Magothy River Counseling LLC. He provides Individual therapy, Family therapy, Parent Education & Coaching to teenagers, adults and families.

Bradley uses an eclectic approach he would say is best described as “Meeting you where you are”, simultaneously both supportive and direct. Bradley pulls from Person-Centered and Gestalt therapeutic approaches, and has extensive training in trauma informed care, and integrating trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy into his sessions.

Bradley specializes in working with teens and young adults around life transitions and related stressors, such as navigating sexual identity concerns, bullying, and adjustment to college. Bradley also specializes in working with teens and adults around grief, relationships, and improving communication. Bradley has extensive experience providing life-skills training, providing parent education/training, and young adult substance abuse prevention/treatment.

Bradley has ongoing or completed training in: Clinical Trauma Treatment, Grief & Loss Counseling, Trauma Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Life Skills Training, Motivational Interviewing, and Parent Education Training and Coaching. Bradley is a Certified Grief Specialist, and Certified Clinical Trauma Treatment Professional
