Carin Sailer (they/them), LGPC obtained their M.A. in Counseling Psychology and B.A. in Psychology from Towson University. Carin prioritizes meeting clients where they are and providing a supportive and affirming counseling environment. Carin works primarily with individuals on exploring identity, strengthening skills around communication/interpersonal relationships, processing parenthood, and creating support and validation around feelings of anxiety, depression, and self-worth. Carin feels passionately about working with individuals within the LGBTQ+ community, especially those identifying under the trans and nonbinary umbrella. 

Carin uses an eclectic therapeutic approach with a focus on elevating the client's perspective and helping to process the past in order to help identify personal values to address current and future problems. 

Carin has been an invited speaker on topics related to parenting/queer parenting, adoption, identity formation, spirituality, and the intersection of minoritized identities (e.g., jewish/nonbinary, trans/queer). Carin has received additional training on gender affirmative counseling, multicultural competency/humility, and supporting individuals during grief/bereavement. 

In addition to working with clients, Carin enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with their pups, watching sports, practicing self- compassion, cooking, and enjoying foods that perfectly balance sweet and salty.
