Recommendation by: Morgan Cregan LCPC

It's On Me is a fascinating exploration of self and identity through real life experiences and existential themes grounded in reality. This book allows us to explore alongside author Sarah Kuburic (@TheMillennialTherapist) our own identity and view of the world. She creates a way for us to sit with human suffering and make meaning of our own experiences while validating and healing our wounds. Through looking inwards we are able to explore ‘Who am I?’ ‘Why am I here?’ In the fast paced capitalist world we live in it can be easy to lose ourself, Sarah discusses ‘self loss’ in a compassionate and exploratory way as the root of feeling lonely, unfulfilled, trapped.

Personally, this book allowed me to really look inward into my own experiences and my own views of self and humanity. It felt like a safe space to really ponder existence and return to my roots, values, and connection with self. I have recommended this book to many of my clients who have felt lost, disconnected from themselves, or overwhelmed by the world around them.
