Not all of our therapists are in network with each plan.
We have providers who are in network with:
Carefirst/BCBS
EHP/USFHP
Cigna/Evernorth
UHC/UBH/GEHA “United Commercial Plans”
Aetna
Tricare
We are out of network for all other plans.
Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a charge of our full clinical fee.
Advanced cancellations require 48 hours notice.
Out of Network Benefits: You are responsible for paying our full fee, and we are happy to provide you with a monthly superbill (receipt) for which you can give to your insurance company for reimbursement as your plan allows.
Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your insurer to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
Do we have a deductible? If so, what is it and have we met it yet?
Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year we can have? If so, what is the limit?
Do we need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
Individual services where there is no diagnosis and/or the service is not medically necessary are not covered through insurance and are subject to private pay rates (i.e. ADHD Coaching and Relationship Therapy).
Relationship services (precommitment, relationship therapy, sex therapy) where the relationship is the identified client, there is no diagnosis, and services are not medically necessary are not covered through insurance and are subject to private pay rates.
“Intensive” Packages are a blend of psychoeducational consulting, therapy, and care coordination. As such, we are not able to participate with insurance.
Is your insurance requiring you to use a specific platform?
Headway, Rula, CloseKnit, Teladoc, Grow Therapy and Alma, just to name a few, have rapidly expanded into the mental health space as venture capital backed for-profit entities that prioritize scalability, profit margins, and rapid user acquisition over individualized, compassionate care. These platforms say they make it easier for you to get mental health services, but they turn therapy into a standardized, impersonal service, leading to higher out of pocket costs, shorter sessions, less control over your treatment options, and a one-size-fits-all approach that weakens the quality of care. And some even have had multiple class action lawsuits (LINK).
These companies may seem convenient, and you may be coerced into using them by your insurance plan. Ultimately, they do not benefit you, as they prioritize profits over people.
We firmly oppose these trends. We believe mental health care should remain deeply personalized, clinician-led, and grounded in authentic human connection rather than profit-driven models that diminish both therapist well-being and client outcomes. We put people over profits and are dedicated to providing the quality, compassionate care you deserve.
